Calvin was born in Noyon, France on the 10th July 1509. He was from a strict Catholic family and his father was the administrator at the town’s cathedral. Calvin was enrolled at the school of the cathedral amongst the children of aristocrats. Calvin was exceptionally bright and at the age of 14 entered a preparatory school in Paris to prepare him for a university education. By 1527 Calvin had developed friendships with individuals who were reformed in their thinking. Then in 1528 Calvin entered the university to study Law. By 1532 Calvin had finished his law studies. And in 1533 he had to flee Paris due to his association with people who were reformed in their thinking.
