The Bible is the foundation document for the Christian faith for all time. The church service lasts just over an hour. Sometimes there is a meal afterwards. It’s helpful to contact us if you are interested in coming so that we can give you directions to our meeting place, Darwin Hall, and other info but also feel free to come on the day.
Sermon Series: Isaiah
We are studying the book of Isaiah. Isaiah the prophet speaks honestly with those who were believers in God about their unfaithfulness, the consequences of that and finally about hope and renewal in the midst of such chaos. The book covers such themes as:
- How does sin effect one’s relationship with God? … with other people?
- What part does trust play in our relationship with God? What difference does it make in life?
- What does it mean that God is sovereign? What is the extent of God’s sovereignty?
- What does it mean that God is in a covenant relationship with his people? How should we respond to God’s offer of a covenant relationship?
- What happens when the people do not keep their covenant with God? How does God respond? How do his people respond?
- How does God restore his people’s waywardness and what part does Jesus have in this restoration?
